AUBURN, N.Y. (July 10, 2025) – The REV Theatre Company is proud to announce its dynamic 2026 season.

Brett Smock, Producing Artistic Director, says, “Always ready to tackle epic stories, and reimagine the theatrical experience for our audiences, The REV’s 2026 season journeys from the stoops of the Bronx to the heart of the African jungle, from the coast of Maine to the Sunset Strip. Three of these shows have never been produced on the Playhouse stage before and one returns in an entirely new form. I’m thrilled to produce such exciting titles with dynamic material to craft unique experiences specifically for our audiences.”

The REV’s 2026 season opens June 3rd with Chazz Palminteri and Alan Menken’s “A Bronx Tale.” Based on the critically acclaimed play that inspired the classic film and then the hit Broadway musical, this streetwise charmer will take you to the stoops of the Bronx in the 1960’s—where a young man is caught between the father he loves and the mob boss he’d love to be. It’s “Jersey Boys” meets “West Side Story.”  “A Bronx Tale” runs through June 20th.

Up next is a soaring musical for the whole family — “Tarzan.” Running July 8th – 25th and featuring a heart-pumping score by rock legend Phil Collins, “Tarzan” is a deeply human story about a young man at odds with the world that raised him and the world that lies beyond.

Running August 12th – 29th is a gripping tale of hope, redemption, and the power of love — Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Carousel.” Voted the best musical of the 20th century by Time Magazine and featuring perhaps their most iconic song, “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” the classic masterpiece will bring the historic carousel building, the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, to great life as the production will feature an expanded onstage orchestra and a partnership with the Genesee Street Voices, a local choir in Auburn.  Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Carousel” promises to be a very special theatrical event.

The REV’s 2025 season concludes with the ultimate tribute to 80’s rock anthems and power ballads — “Rock of Ages.” Featuring a small-town girl, a city boy, ripped jeans, and big hair, “Rock of Ages” is packed with energy, humor, and all the rock hits that defined a generation.

Subscriptions for The REV’s 2026 season are available now and single tickets will go on sale in early 2026.
