AUBURN, N.Y. (October 22, 2025) – The REV Theatre Company announced today that it will produce the NY premiere of “The Ugly Xmas Sweater Musical” by Dan Knechtges and Megan Larche Dominick.
Described as “The Office” meets “Project Runway,” “The Ugly Xmas Sweater Musical” is a laugh-out-loud, interactive, hysterically funny holiday musical that’s guaranteed to thrill audiences and warm their hearts.
The REV’s Producing Artistic Director Brett Smock says, “We’re throwing a holiday party and it’s ugly! With carols, cocktails, and a fun story about a company on the brink, it’s the office Christmas party you’ll actually want to attend! We’re looking forward to sharing this new musical as the last show in our 2025 expanded season.”
The production is directed by co-book writer, Megan Larche Dominick and choreographed by Paige Faure. Larche Dominick adds, “Bringing ‘The Ugly Xmas Sweater Musical’ to Auburn truly feels like coming home for the holidays. I can’t wait to dive into this production with The REV and this incredible company of elves – I mean actors. Bring your friends, your husband, your work wife, and prepare to laugh, sing along, and definitely wear your finest ugly sweaters, because saving Christmas never looked so tacky or like so much fun!”
